Forex Flash: Kuroda and Iwata are strong proponents of inflation target - Nomura

Nomura Strategist Yujiro Goto notes that both Mr. Kuroda and Mr. Iwata are strong proponents of the inflation target.

They have both recommended the BOJ introduce an inflation target for a long time and even though the current inflation target does not specify a strict time frame, they both advocate that the Bank should (and can) achieve the target in two years. He writes, “They may emphasize the Bank can achieve the target in two years in their speech to parliament and may seek to strengthen the inflation target further.”
