Canada: Retail Sales expand more than expected in September

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Statistics Canada informed on Friday that Canadian Retail Sales increased by 1% in September, compared with the 0.1% rise in August an above forecasts of +0.3%.

Retail Sales excluding Autos remained flat in September, following a 0.5% rise in August and against market consensus of 0.2% growth.

Canada: Annual CPI up 0.7% in October

According to data released today by Statistics Canada, Canadian annual inflation rose 0.7% in October, following 1.1% growth registered the previous month. This result below analysts' forecasts of +0.9%. On a monthly basis Canada's CPI fell 0.2% in October, after rising 0.2% in September, below predictions of a 0.1% drop.

USD/CAD falls after strong Canadian retail sales
