US: Housing Price Index up 0.8% in December

FXStreet (Barcelona) - The US Housing Price Index data released by the Federal Housing Finance Agency pointed to a 0.8% increase in December, compared with the 0.1% drop seen in November, above expectations of a 0.4% rise.

European Commission raises Eurozone growth outlook

According to the spring growth forecasts released on Tuesday by the European Commission, the euro area economy should expand by 1.2% in 2014 and by 1.8% in 2015, which in both cases is 0.1% higher than the previous projections.

US: S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices grow 13.4% in December

On an annual basis the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices climbed 13.4% in December, down from the 13.7% rise registered in November, Standard & Poor's revealed on Tuesday. This result is almost in line with forecasts of +13.3%.
