Japan's Sagawa to testify in Parliament - Reuters
Nobuhisa Sagawa, Japan's former head of the National Tax Agency, will be testifying in Japan's Parliament next week, according to Reuters.
Key highlights
Sagawa resigned from his position at the helm of the NTA amidst the government land sale scandal. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Finance Minister Taro Aso are under intense pressure from within the Japanese government. Sagawa is expected to testify in Japan's Parliament next week, after being forced to step down recently after being pegged as a key figure in the scandal that saw the Japanese government sell steeply discounted land to a school operator with personal ties to Shinzo Abe and his wife, Akie Abe.
